VNC native display (:0) on FC2

No, this isn't another "My VNC doesn't work" post - at least, not exactly

I have VNC working fine on the server (running FC2) for our home LAN, and it gives me a second X display (display:1) which is separate from the "normal" one (display:0). Unless there is a good reason not to, I would like to try configuring VNC to show me display:0, so that VNC works a bit more like the Windows version (i.e. VNC shows the same display you would see on the local monitor).

There is this advice on the RealVNC site about native X display support, but I don't think it will work for FC2 as it uses X.org for the X window system (the instructions are geared towards XFree86).

Has anyone got a native X display working on VNC under FC2, and if so, how did they achieve it?

Thanks,
Tim

If you use KDE, you can set this up in the Control Center-->Internet & Network-->Desktop Sharing.

Thats what I used to use with KDE 3.1, but for me in 3.2 its a CPU hog, so I switched to x11vnc, which is separate from KDE so you should be able to use it with any desktop env. or window manager. You could take a look at that, dunno if it works with X.org or not.
