Virtual Machine Manager vm unable to ping outside world
Hello,
I've managed to screw up the firewall settings on my Fedora 17 host such that my virtual guest can no longer connect to the internet, I don't know how this has happened as I went back to using the 'server' default on the Fedora software firewall (Server, but have tried the Desktop default as well). Even turning off the Firewall entirely results in "Not Permitted" error messages. Any suggestions at all appreciated. |
hi
hello
i am new to this linux world but i faced this problem before. just change the selinux to permissive or just disable it. best of luck |
Thanks for your suggestion zafar.
I beleive SELinux has come a long way, it should no longer be necessary to just turn it off. I'd preffer to solve the problem and keep that lovely SELinuxy 'Defence In Depth' thing.:D |
