Viewing pictures in Thunderbird

Thunderbird-2.0.0.5
Sometimes I get pictures from someone and Thunderbird can't open them
and view them, what format can't thunderbird display.
If I right click on picture it won't give me a format type, Right clicking only allows me to "Select All" or "Copy Image Location" and neither one helps.

Those pics you're seeing in those emails are inline (inserted pics served on a 3rd party server) pics. They are actually "hotlinks" to an outside source. If you want the pic, just RIGHT click and save it to your system somewhere. By the way, for attached pics, Thunderbird does NOT view any pics at all. It just starts up the default app on your system that views pics. Check your preferences in T-bird to see what apps you have set to open files and attachments.

Luck!
