video problems (mplayer)

Ok when i try to view a video on FC3, with an onboard video card and mplayer i get this error

.....It seems there is no Xvideo support for your video card available.

I did a search and found that this would work
mplayer -vo x11 -fs -zoom -double -nobps

Ok so my question is. Is Xvideo just with this player? Can i find another player and download that one? I hope the answer is yes, but i'm afraid that i'm going to have to buy a video card, correct?

ok tried xine, works, but it is jerky. I did xine-check and it said something about xvideo. So i'm thinking about getting a new video card. Anyone have a suggestion on which to get? I want to spend very little, less than $50, but the more cheaper the better.
