How do you test it? Using xmms? Did you heard any sound when the installer test the sound card?

Okay,
modules are detected... that's a good thing !! open kmix/aumix and unmute everything !! ( also push volumes up ) Try again. go to kde control center and select " arts at boot ". If does not work ... can you have sound when you are root ? Last thing in some mother boards jack's plug what not at the right place ... try a swap. |
Using xmms, do check you've the correct output plugin selected. Since you're using OSS, select OSS output plugin .. and check the volume setting too..
|
how do I :
1) open kmix/aumix and unmute everything !! ( also push volumes up ) 2) go to kde control center and select " arts at boot ". >>>If does not work ... can you have sound when you are root ? nope 3)Using xmms, check i've the correct output plugin selected. select OSS output plugin .. |
Use konsole > use command line aumix or kmix
using xmms, right click you will have preferences > output |
