Well well, the font name is " simsun.ttc " where is is located I don't know, it depends on which OS your fired are using
The full path where to install it I told you before
Hi and sorry for the late reply, I can not let you download thefonts from my website as it would not be legal, but if you can find the font from another source, you should copy those fonts to /usr/share/fonts/default/Type1
I hope it works for you
hi, does anyone know how to make the words on folder and filename readable? I have some files and folder with chinese words encoding but i can't read them in fedora 5?
Thanks for the reply and im using FEDORA 2 + Gnome, and what i want to do is to enable Chinese Inputing during i'm under English Gnome enviroment. i know it is possible as i used mandrake community 10.1 before and it is already there after I finished installing. I just need to press Ctrl + Spacebar then an Chinese input bar just came out althought i'm in english enviroment. So, any tips?
In fact, under English enviroment the chinese input did come out,but it still can not work,i do not know why? anyone who knows ,pls tell me ,thanks
As my experience, you have to change 'LC_CTYPE' to chinese to use fcitx in english environment. Currently I'm using scim-fcitx, which is basically scim with fcitx as the input engine. It works in english environment, nothing need to be changed, including 'LC_CTYPE'.
i also use fcitx, but it can not work, need i change some settings under english enviroment?if so .how can i do that??
I agree with mp55 ...
for more info, and if u can read Chinese, u can refer to http://www.fcitx.org/main/?q=node/79 ... this webpage is written in Chinese. it guide u to install fcitx in FC.
