USB and SDA problem
I am having an annoying problem with my USB flash key.
Any time I plug it in the red light on my UBS key blinks a little while and then stay on. Also, an entry is added to fstab allocating sda1 FC 2 finds it so I see it as "Flash" when clicking in the computer icon in Gnome desktop. But if I double click I have an error message and this is because it is sda, not sda1. Changing in fstab (deleting the offending 1) does the trick and I can access the flash drive. But this doe not stay, when removing the drive the entry is also removed in fstab and the story starts again next time I plug the USB card in. Any idea as to how I could have this fixed once and for all? In other words, how can I tell the system to always use sda, not sda1, for the key? TIA Guy |
