upgraded kernel to 2.6.10 but several things do not work now!
i installed FC3 recently, the kernel came with was 2.6.9 something.
everything seemed to work well. but i installed kernel-2.6.10-x later on.
then i removed 2.6.9, and i found i could not listen to music.
the sound card seems to be working but no sound came out at all.
and flash drive and cd rom cannot be identified automatically any more.
do not know what is happening now, how to fix these problems?
do i have to recompile the kernel myself?
thanks for your help!

The Sound card issue.
Perhaps alsa has the volume set to 0. Adjust it and do a alsactl store . That has happened to me.
The flash drive / cd rom issue
plug in the drive and post the dmesg so we can see whats going on when you plug it in.
