Upgrade Thunderbird in FC2?

I was Mozillas web site and saw that a new version of Thunderbird is out. They now hav e version 0.9 where as I have 0.7.3 installed on my Fedora Core 2 machine.

Is there simple and fast way to just upgrade so I don't lose any account settings and mail or must I remove old thunderbird and reinstall the new version and add all my account info again?

I tried

yum update thunderbird

and that failed. Does nothing for me.

wait a few days until an rpm for this release shows up on the repos, then you should be able to fetch it with yum.
