Updated KDE 3.2 Now blank screen

I am using Fedora Core 1 and updated KDE to 3.2 All was well till I decided to switch to Gnome and the screen went black. I would like to try to set my default back to KDE and work from there. Where do I set that? Also logging in from vnc gives me the same blank screen. Thoughts?

To switch it back
login into your account in run level 3, or just wait till its booted and you see the blank screen then hit alt+cntrl+f2 (f3,f4,f5,or f6 any of those. f7 is for your X11 screen)
once your logged into your shell type 'switchdesk kde'.

As for why gnome gives you a blank screen i have no idea, assuming maybe it wasnt installed or not installed correctly when you ran the install disc.

Well, that got my KDE back, thanks. When I first boot up though my logon screen is gone. I can get in thru vnc to my KDE desktop and it seems ok. Anything at the console is just a black screen with the mouse in the middle. Any other ideas?
