uninstall all games


hi there

i have installed fedora core 3. and i want to uninstall all GAMES there
since i don't like them. how do i do that

You should be able to use yum to do this.

Another option would be to use apt/synaptic if you have installed or just plaing old rpm.

I'd assume that both commands below should do it, unless you've added some games on your own.

yum remove gnome-games
Code:
yum remove kdegames

But the most easy way I think is to unistall all the games by add/remove applications.
Start-->System Settings-->Add/Remove Applications
and it will ask the root password for you..........provide it.
Then under Applicaiton section, you will find Games. Uncheck the tick and scroll down and proceed as usual. If it ask to insert your FC3 CDs, provide it. It will uninstall all games.

There are some games that are not in kdegames or gnome-games so these would need to be removed individually.

thanx

i was able to remove all gnome games. but as u say there r some mre games present
there which i will try to remove indiviually
