unable to read chm files in firefox 3.0

Hi all,
I am presently using fedora 10.
I have installed the chm add on for firefox 3.0. But it doesnot work, when I open a chm file the window remains blank .
Earlier, I had tried the same on fedora 8 with firefox and it was working fine.
What could be the problem ?
thanks
nishith

I didn't realize there is a chm reader add-on for Firefox. But I searched and indeed, you are right.

You could remove it and then install it directly from it's page on the Firefox add-ons site.
Or even download it from SourceForge.

yeah that is alright - but I thought upgrading my firefox would have been a better option than having a few new software installed for a simple thing like that.
BTW - I got xchm and it is working like a charm ?
So what do we conclude - there is a bug in the chm addon of firefox 3.0 ?!?
thanks anyway.

Hi, just to add to what is here, the program

Okular (pdf and other file viewer) displays .chm files nicely.
