What do you mean you have two versions? Do you mean two kernel options at the grub prompt?

It'd not been FC since FC 6 btw.

If you are referring to multiple kernel versions, run
Code:
rpm -qa | grep -i kernel
A list of installed kernels will be listed in the output. Uninstall the ones you do not need by running
Code:
rpm -e kernel-$VERSION
Replace $VERSION with the actual kernel version. The grub entry for the kernel you uninstall will be automatically removed.

Every time you update the kernel in Fedora, the older one is preserved (cycled). It may happen the new kernel does not work for your system, so you have the chance to boot the old working kernel and eventually adjust or uninstall the newer one. Having two versions of the kernel installed is not a problem: they don't even eat too much disk space. If you really want to get rid of the old kernel, follow the suggestion by reddazz above.

IF you are running the 64bit version, then having both the .i386 and 64bit versions of packages is common. Some packages (like wine) are 32bit(but run on a 64bit OS) and require 32bit version of certain libs to run. In other cases the package manager is just being dumb and installs both versions. The tricky part is figuring out which duplications are becuase the package manager is being dumb and which are actually needed (be careful).
