Have a look at
APT for Fedora - when you install it, open a console and type

apt-get install synaptic
That'll give you a graphical interface for APT. Then you can try to install KDE from there. you could even try apt-get install kde from the console but there's no way really to tell what version it is if you do it that way.
No guarantees though
It'll probably mean re-downloading all of the packages (APT will do it for you) but then again it's only one way of fixing the problem.
Hopefully someone more knowledgeable will be able to offer you some alternatives.
