trying to get on the internet with fedora 6


Hi everyone,
I am a new user of linux and I am having some problems I am blind and I got fedora 6 installed with speech but now everytime I try to ping an web address I get 100 percent of packet looss. Can someone please tell me how to fix this thanks in advance. I am using the command line.

Was the network functioning before you installed the speech software?

Post the output of these commands:

/sbin/ifconfig -a
/sbin/route -n
cat /etc/sysconfig/network
cat /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth0
