Triple boot...Xp then Fedora...then Vista

Hi all,

I'm really getting into the Fedora thing at home now but I just got approved to the Vista beta program so I want to triple boot. I first had Xp pro, then fedora and now I want to install Vista. I'm not sure if i can multiboot in this order or what I have to do, so that is what i'm asking. THanks!

Do you want to install vista instead of XP or next to XP?
In the first case, simply install, then use your 1st Fedora cd or the dvd to boot into rescue mode (linux rescue)
From there follow the steps to get back into your system (chroot /mnt/sysimage) and reinstall grub (grub-install /dev/hda). That should do it.

Sortive..

Hi there. Thanks for the reply. What I have is a laptop originally with XP on one partition. I repartitioned recently and installed Fedora 4 on the other to dual boot the two. Now, i want to remove all traces of the Fedora install and go back to the standard bootloader from Windows, then I will be putting Vista on as the dual boot. Basically I just need to know how to remove all traces of my Fedora install. Thanks!

1. Insert the Windows XP CD-ROM into the CD-ROM drive, and then restart the computer.
2. When the "Welcome to Setup" screen appears, press R to start the Recovery Console.
3.. When you are prompted, type the Administrator password. If the administrator password is blank (you didn't set one), just press ENTER
4. At the command prompt remove grub by using the command: fixmbr
5. reboot and windows should start normaly.
