This is driving me nuts!

When I want to move an open App on my desktop, I grab the Title bar and move where I want, sometimes I miss the Title bar and my mouse will grab something off the Menu bar. All of a sudden I have a tiny dog eared document that sits there and freezes up my system. I cant break out of it unless I reboot? Can anyone help?

"a tiny dog eared document" ? What should It supposed to be ?

Have you been hacked or a "Friend" has installed some (not) funny things ?

If you have another computer, can you login into the freezed one by network ?

Its not a hack....right now if I hold down my left mouse button and grab, say above here on this page, User CP, it then turns into a tiny document and it wants me to drop it to a folder. This is part of FC GUI. So what I think is happening is, Im grabbing something off the Menu file (by accident) that cant be transferred so it freezes up my system. I cant break out of it so I was asking anyone if there was a keystroke combo that they know of.

hope im a little clearer on this

I think dareino is talking here about the mouse cursor changing shape and consequently freezing the system.

This could have something to do with the video card and its drivers. If you knew the make and model of your card, you could do better web searches about the problem.

Is it happening only in your web browser or in some other applications as well? Do you perhaps use Mozilla or Firefox? Mozillas have some GUI tricks of their own. The version of the browser could be buggy. Most browsers and some file managers are based on Mozilla; they may or may not have the same problem.

These are just some thoughts, nothing definite. Searching the bug databases could help:

Maybe is the mouse button near the end of it's life (so it makes bad contact or more single-clicks/double-clicks as you want) ?
