so i typed the md5sum command into a terminal ,return message could not find directory,
Can you show us the exact command you typed? You need to add the name of the iso file, and you should be in the same folder.
For example, if your folder is /home/flinix/download/, and the file is distro1.iso, type:
ok thanks, it seems i was not in the folder,
im using ubun 5.10 n xp so i can try both,
what if the checksums dont add up,is there a way of geting a genuine iso.thanks again gr8 support
im using md5summer in xp,i get a warning message saying it has ascii something or other in the ,file, that im trying to verify,went to the md5 suggestd website,dosnt say how to solve it.
thought mayb i was usin the summer,md5 incorrect,i dowloaded 2 iso of slackware11,if you will give me a link, i got the iso,s from a list on this site.ps will the same mirror keep producing bad iso,s,
