The Application "nautilus" has quit unexpectedly.

Whenever i login to Gnome this comes up "The Application "nautilus" has quit unexpectedly." Gnome was working fine until one day i got this message, the taskbar is there, but the desktop background is gone, it will not do anything if i right click.

I then created a new account, it worked fine and then the same thing, it will work fine but once this happens it always happens after i login.

I think it could be caused by me leaving gDesklets open while i logged out with the save current setup botton ticked. So how can i delete the data that was written by me ticking the save current setup.

P.S i don't want to use KDE gnome is faster and the skins i put on it make it look much better

I got the idea to run it as konsole, here is what i got:

/home/radiation/.themes/Crystal dlb/gtk-2.0/gtkrc:9: Unable to find include file: "panel.rc"
/home/radiation/.themes/Crystal dlb/gtk-2.0/gtkrc:10: Unable to find include file: "toolbar.rc"
/home/radiation/.themes/Crystal dlb/gtk-2.0/gtkrc:481: Unable to locate image file in pixmap_path: "gfx/menuline.png"
/home/radiation/.themes/Crystal dlb/gtk-2.0/gtkrc:484: Background image options specified without filename
/home/radiation/.themes/Crystal dlb/gtk-2.0/gtkrc:910: Unable to locate image file in pixmap_path: "gfx/scrollbar_horizontal_insens.png"
/home/radiation/.themes/Crystal dlb/gtk-2.0/gtkrc:914: Background image options specified without filename
/home/radiation/.themes/Crystal dlb/gtk-2.0/gtkrc:939: Unable to locate image file in pixmap_path: "gfx/scrollbar_vertical_insens.png"
/home/radiation/.themes/Crystal dlb/gtk-2.0/gtkrc:943: Background image options specified without filename

this makes no sense, i never deleted any files or created any files, or change anything in any way in those folders so why do these files not exsist?

Hey is it because of the space in "Crystal dlb" is it messing everything up?

Change your current gtk/gnome theme, it seems to be causing the problem you are experiencing now.

----==== Problem Solved =====----

You'd think so wouldn't you.

Thats what i thought aswell, but i love this theme and it's great and i'm not giving it up, so i logged in as root and deleted the folder called metafiles in /home/Ace2005/.nautilus/ and its all working fine.

I think the error was caused by me ticking save current setup at the logoff screen.

Thanks for the reply

Well, glad you got it sorted. GNOME seems to be very picky about gtk themes. The same problem has happened to me a few times.
