Hello all.
I am trying to get a ts-client on linux to work...
Problem:
from what i have read is that the ts-client is trying to access /dev/dsp which is occupied by gnome's esd. I have tried it to start with:
esddsp ./teamspeak but haven't gotten any luck
. artsdsp seems to work for sound output (I hear: "link engaged") and not for input, nor the voices of my teammates.
My possible solution from what i have read in the fora:
In ALSA you can make two sound devices for one device (
correct me if I am wrong!). I can make one regular /dev/dsp and /dev/dspts for teamspeak. So:
1. Is this possible, if not what is another solution?
2. how do I install and configure alsa in fedora? (I dislike rpm-deps...)
3. how do I make the two devices?
thx for your help.
Geert.
