Taking a Screenshot

So I wanted to post a picture of my desktop in the Linux section - but now I remember, I have no clue how that is done...

That takes me to and found this URL but starts talking about Samba and other stuff I am very lost about.

Is there maybe something I can do straight from KDE?

in kde: ksnapshot

Also, the gimp has a function in that will take snapshots
