Hi all,

I just installed fedora 11. I am trying to syncronize my WM6.1 with evolution a process which was easily done with my previous distro (Ubuntu 9.04). The main problem is that my phone does not appear as a network connection when using the synce-hal.

When i uninstall the synce-hall and use the vdccm it appears as a network connection but the synce-engine does not work.

I any case synchronisation does not work while in ubuntu works perfect following the same procedure.

Has anyone encounter the same problem before,

Hi,
ot make hal-synce working you have to change dbus policy. Edit file: /etc/dbus-1/system.d/hal.conf and add follwoing lines close to end (before </policy>)

<allow send_destination="org.freedesktop.Hal" send_interface="org.freedesktop.Hal.Device.Synce"/>

After dbus restart or reboot you should have synce-hal working. You can see it with SynCE Tray Icon. I have just managed it with Fedora 11 and Xperia X1 (WM 6.1)

I found another solution which was to enable the odcc driver this solved my problem.
