Hello all..

Question about mplayerplugin for firefox. My goal was to be able to listen to the Major League Baseball audiocast available at http://mlb.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb/mlb/su...eday_audio.jsp. As usual, this works fine under the windows version of firefox, but not in Linux. The requirement is to have windows media player 9 or newer installed. I had hoped that mplayer would be able to do this, but I can't make it work. Both mplayer and mplayerplugin installed ok, but no baseball.

Fine. Win some.. lose some. Now, I have a new problem. I notice now that mplayer is taking over playing .pls streams from shoutcast, too (previously, xmms handled this). I don't want mplayer to take over this duty. How can I restore xmms as my default .pls player? I've looked at the .conf files for mplayerplugin and the relevant line is "0", but still mplayerplugin takes over.

If you go to a .pls file in nautilus and right click on it, in properties it gives you check boxes to select which program opens it.
