Unhappy swap is not working in Fedora


Dear all

i have installed Fedora Core 3 in my duel Xeon Machine, now it seems that the Fedora is not using the swap present in the
outpu of free is shown below
#free
total used free shared buffers cached
Mem: 1034028 1013768 20260 0 116092 632968
-/+ buffers/cache: 264708 769320
Swap: 2048248 0 2048248

what should i do regarding this ?
erlier i used redhat 9 and it was using that swap

Swap is only used when necessary, so don't worry too much. You seem to have ample ram so thats why swap is probably not being used.

Approx. 3/4 of your memory is free and only used temporarily for buffers and caches.
