Suspend issues.

I have FC4 installed on my T42P. Everything was fine. I had no problems with Suspend. When I closed the lid it would go to supsend mode, when I open it will come back up. I installed some updates yesterday using Synaptic. Now whenever my laptop comes from suspend mode my screen is all black with some wierd mutlicolor letters. Any idea what is going on?

Thank You.

Anyone? I should also mention that all the keys seem to work. I can put it back to suspend mode by doing Fn F4, or log out by doing ctrl alt del, which brings up logout window normally, then pushing enter. When I do log out it goes to a normal log in screen. From there I can log back in. Seems like there an issue with video drivers?

If I switch to command screen, ctrl alt F1, then back to my gui, ctrl alt F7, I can see the screen again.
Thanks.
