Supported Hardware List FC2


Where can i find "supportted hardware" list for fedora 2.. i am still looking for it, but i couldnt find. Or do you know? MSI Geforce FX5200 VGA card is supported by FC2?

It's not that balck and white with linux, it is more a matter of how well does this product work.

our very own harware compatability list (HCL) has one review of that card as a ten, as run on slackware (so the guy probably knew how to configure it) .

You can look for linux HCLs everywhere on the net and get some info.

You might also check out msi's webpage and see if they have drivers for Xorg X11, NOT Xfree; Fedora no longer uses Xfree.

It also depends on what you want to do with it.

If we are talking, just displaying output ... I would count on that. If we want movies, we need OpenGL and that would probably work too - I have yet to have a bad experience there. If we are talkign gaming, I'd check WineX's site to see.

Actually, I want to open X server thats all.. I installed Red Hat 9.0 before, but when I tried to open X server, my monitor went to standby mode. There was no screen. I am afraid, If I install FC2, i will have same problem as well..
