Hi,

I've had FC3 for a while now, and this has always bugged me. However, I just reinstalled onto my new hard drive, and I decided to post this to see if anyone knows what's wrong.

Every time I log in as any user, the desktop comes up as usual. But, when I start clicking anywhere on the desktop, little white 1-2 pixel dots appear where ever I have left-clicked. Covering up the desktop by opening a window over it makes them disappear until I start clicking again.

Note the image is fairly bad quality, but you get the idea.

Can anyone explain why this is happeneing? I haven't seen it in any other installations of both KDE 3.2 and 3.3.

I bet it's some setting that I've overlooked

This may be unrelated to your problem but, I had similar behavior in Redhat 9. I was getting artifacts on the screen from mouse clicks. It turned out to be some compatiblity problem with my mother board and vidcard. I had to turn agp fast writes off in the mother board cmos and the problem went away.
