Straight upgrade from RH9 to Fedora

Is it possible to upgrade straight to Fedora, I mean, will I get problems with my older programs running under RH 9? Or do I have to install everything new? Thanx.

hello

AFAIR it's possible, because installer detects previous existing systems and asks if you want to upgrade or make a new install.

Best wishes

Updated RedHat 9 to Fedora Core 1

Had a few problems with Gnome apps seg faulting on the first use

but switched to KDE, I dunno, I just like KDE more.

Added apt-get and synaptic, revised /et/yum.conf and /etc/sysconfig/rhn/sources and edited/added Synaptic Repositories.

Working fine.

Dave, can you please list all the changes you made to conf files as per the last line of your message?

Thanks in anticipation,

Oh,
1) you can do a upgrade from RedHat9 to Fedora Core 1
2) all of my previously installed additions continued to function properly
3) You don not have fresh install

Out of curriosity, I did a fresh install and was surprised at how few differences there were.
