Soundcard detection on FC3


Hi,

i cannot detect the soundcard on FC3 whereas I can do so on Windows
my system-config-soundcard states 'no soundcard detected'. i ran an /sbin/lscpi and this is what it gave me.

There is no alsaconf on my system as well. Please help!

Other operating systems have built-in support for some sound cards that Linux does not currently support.
Check with the alsa repository (http://www.alsa-project.org) for sound cards to find out if your's is supported, or check to see if there is a kernel module that you can acitvate.

Search yum for any programs that include "alsa." The base alsa should already be installed, but if not, then the base alsa should do the trick.
You can also install whatever else it seems like you might need.
