Hey everyone. Im running FC3 from my laptop at home and i've got a couple gigs of mp3's on it. All the boxes at my school are Windows XP. I've been using Putty on these machines at school (because its one individual file - doesn't need to be installed) and I would like to be able to listen to my music collection at school. I've been looking at VNC and X over SSH, but the viewers need to be installed on these XP boxes, and I don't thave the priviledges to install anything. Is there any way to do this? I don't need to see any video, not palying games or anything, just need to listen to mp3's. Thanks alot!

you can download a zip file for tightvnc on windows, it is also a stand alone app. (1 file, no installer)

AFAIK, you can't have sound over SSH or VNC.
A idea would be to have a streaming media broadcasting system such as icecast: http://freshmeat.net/projects/icecast/
