Sound issues intel 82801g, boston ba735, ensoniq ens1371. No output to ba735's

[Log in to get rid of this advertisement]
For a start the full out put of alsa-info is at http://www.alsa-project.org/db/?f=08...f7bc6ab530d5fc
Fedora 10 all current updates
kernel 2.6.27.9-159.fc10.i686

Now for what I am trying to achieve:
I can't see the intel card in any of the mixers or the soundcard gui's
I am not sure if the ensoniq sound card will do digital out as need by the ba735 usb speakers( this is the output I want to use, these speakers rock).
As shown in the output of alsa-info all three sound cards are detected correctly, but I cannot for the life of me make the intel one show up in any of the mixers to configure the digital output.

alsaconf also shows all three cards and sets about configureing them with no errors but even after a reboot no intel card in the mixers -- gstreamer, kmix, alsamixer.
How can I make the intel card show up in the mixers so I can configure digital output "hopefully" to the ba735 boston speakers and live happily ever after?
Thanks in advance for any ideas.

Slight update on this scenario.
The ensoniq card is actually a creativlabs "ct4810" fedora just sees it as a "ensoniq" (perhaps the chipset is ensoniq or something)
However I believe that i could also be set to do digital output to the usb speakers but there doesn't seem to be any option for it in any of the settings.
I don't care if I use the intel card or the creative labs but I am stumped as to how to redirect the output to the Usb speakers and thats the end result I am looking for.

Is it possible to use a different driver for the creative labs card to be able to utilise the digital out?

Thanks

Sorry for the Bump on this one

I am still searching for answers on this one though.

The closest scenario I have come across so far is this one:
https://www.linuxquestions.org/quest...eakers.-48286/

This is a simalar situation to what I have but the configuration files have now changed a little bit I believe.
I remember reading somewhere else (not sure where now) that fedora no longer reads modprobe.conf for sound config but it didn't tell me what it does read for its config files.
Could someone please tell me what folders and files I should be looking in to set alsa up for digital output.
There must be one or two sound gurus out there that may be able to shed some light on this, Please, anyone!!

Well we are now more than ten months down the track and I still can't use my beloved BA 735 digital speakers in fedora. I have to sit there listening to my girlfriend play music on her BA 735's using winblows XP I am so maddened by it.
does any one have any clues on how to direct output from the digital out over to these boston speakers.....please please please.....
