Sound issues

Hi all,

I'm currently having an issue with my new FC3 install relating to sound. The "Master" Volume control in both alsamixer and the GUI Volume control panel have no slider bars. Thus - no sound.. Anyone seen this before?

Oh, Headphones are plugged in and working... The chip (SiS intel8x0) is being correctly identified.. Anything else I might have missed?

Dan.

With some audio chipset, it's better to recompile alsa packages ourselves.
