smbd service not recognized in FC3

I'm not exaclty a newbie but I can't seem to add the smbd service to FC3. I know the rpms are installed:
Code:
[root@logain init.d]# rpm -qa |grep samba
samba-client-3.0.9-1.fc3
samba-common-3.0.9-1.fc3
but this is what I get when I check on the service :

Code:
[root@logain init.d]# service smbd status
smbd: unrecognized service
[root@logain init.d]# service samba status
samba: unrecognized service
[root@logain init.d]#
There's obviously no entry in /etc/init.d either and attempting to add it with chkconfig fails as well. What am I missing?

Thanks for the input. I actually tried that as well. The service acts as though it is not installed despite what rpm says.

I think you need one more rpm, samba-3.0.9-1.fc3. Installing that you will get the smbd and nmbd daemons, as well as the boot scripts and links.

Thanks! I will give that a try. I just assumed that samba-common contained the daemons. Guess I should've queried the package Oh well, I figured it was probably going to turn out to be something obvious.
