Any more tips?
Remove skype, then

Code:
yum install -y qt-4.5.3-9.fc12.i686 qt-x11-4.5.3-9.fc12.i686 glibc.i686 alsa-lib.i686 libXv.i686 libXScrnSaver.i686 libSM.i686 libXi.i686 libXrender.i686 libXrandr.i686 libXfixes.i686 libXcursor.i686 libXinerama.i686 freetype.i686 fontconfig.i686 libstdc++.i686
then
reinstall skype, and try it.

If it doesn't work at first after this, reboot and try again.

Let us know if this works for you.

I'd say don't be afraid to have non-x64 libraries installed on a x64 system, especially if it makes things work. That's why there's still the /lib/ directories.

I'm not sure why, but since about the beginning of January Fedora mirrors have been timing out in every location I have Fedora installed @ (different lines & ISPs). What I do is just Ctrl-C and redo the command over and over until it gets it lol...

As for chinese mirrors...maybe:
ftp://ftp.solnet.ch/mirror/fedora/linux
http://mirror.switch.ch/ftp/mirror/fedora/linux

Yeah, thanks, I thought this was a China specific prob. I have repeated the command several times, it is getting there slowly! Luckily, yum holds onto the other packages that have been downloaded, so the list gets shorter every time.

Hope it works in the end. I like this Fed 12!

Do you have any good repo suggestions? I have rpm fusion, free and non-free,adobe, the usual Fedora repos, and now skype.

Where should I put the mirrors you suggest?
