Sillicon images SATA controller, and Fedora Core 3

I am dual booting Windows XP and Fedora Core 3 on an asus a7n8x deluxe with the sillicon images SATA raid controller running windows, and fedora core running on the ide channel.

the issue that I am having is that when I boot to linux I get some buffer errors that have to do with the raid drives. with fedora core 1 and 2 all I had to do was add hde=nprobe hdg=noprobe into grub and the kernel would ignore my raid and everything was fine. Now with fedora core 3 the devices are being shown as sda and sdb....so I figured that I would add sda=noprobe and sdb=noprobe and everything would be fine, but the problem still exists. here is what I am seeing
