Setting Fedora Core 2 screen resolution

Hi everybody! I have installed Fedora Core 2 on my computer with an ATI Radeon 7000 graphics, and when I try to configure the resolution, I can't set it above 800x600. ¿Can you tell me how to set the graphics resolution to 1024x768? ¿Do I have to install the ATI linux drivers? Thank you very much.

You only need the other drivers if you want 3d acceleration. You should be able to change your video card choice somewhere under the 2 system choice in the menu. If you can't do it that way you can edit your /etc/X11/xorg.conf file.

Yes, I have already edited the xorg.conf file, setting de 1024x768 resolution, and It does not have any effect.

Ok, I finally could set to 1024x768. It was only needed to configure the right monitor (a Compal), that was set to a generic.
Thank you.
