Setting Different Color Depth Among Desktops

Hi there --

We are running Fedora Core 2 on on a system with several different applications. One application needs to have the color depth set to 24-bit, while another one needs to have it configured to a much lower setting.

The plan is to have the first application run on the first desktop, or screen, and have the second program run on the second screen or desktop. Is there a way to configure the system whereby the appropriate color depths are in place for the respective screens, and do not need to be configured by the users? Thanks.

Another post recently had this helpful link...

http://www.tuxfiles.org/linuxhelp/multiple-x.html

It's written better than I could do, but it addresses configuring multiple sessions of x, with different color depths and launching different apps to different screens. It's short and seems to apply directly to your situation
