Set the path for shell commands???


I have to type:/sbin/ifconfig or /sbin/modprobe.
plus other commands as well.
How do I set the PATH??
using FC4

edit your users ~/.bashrc
add the line:
export PATH=$PATH:/sbin

save and exit. Logout and login back in or run the command ' source .bashrc ' with logging out.
