sending a fax


I have been have trouble setting up linux to send a fax locally, something which is very simple in windows. I get the following errors.

faxfrontend
Can not reach server at host "localhost", port 4559.



cannot send fax
command: sendfax -c "hi"-N-l-s na-let d "j@222-222-2222" /home/qazwsx27/app.txt

i would guess you don't have a fax daemon, like hylafax, running on your system. a front end doesn't do any actual faxing, it gives itto a generic back end which does the actual work, and that doesn't seem to exist in your case.
