Running FCore4 in vmware server image, it will not update

I,m new here, Sorry if this is the wrong place for this, but here goes.

I am running vmware server, using an image I got from a friend of Fedora Core 4 (I use this for compatibility with some satellite imaging software, if you wonder why I am using old linux) and it will not update itself. It keeps giving me this message -

There was a fatal error communicating with the server. The message was:

An HTTP error occurred:
URL: http://mirrors.fedoraproject.org/mir...rpm&redirect=1
Status Code: 404
Error Message: Not Found

The first window that pops up when it is trying to fetch the package list tells me it is looking for the updates at this site -

http://download.fedoraproject.org/pu...pdates/4/i386/

The browser is working, and all other networking tools work correctly, but it will not update itself. Any suggestions?

Thanks...

core4 is no longer supported, there are no updates, think 5 is also at the end of it's supported life, but 6 & 7 are ok

FC6 will also hit eol in a matter of days. Each version of Fedora only has support for about 1 year.
