rsync command problem

i m trying to take a back-up of database from one local machine to another and runnning the following command:

--recursive --times --perms --links \

/sourcepath/* server-ip:/destinationpath

Earlier it was working fine but today this is giving following error:

rsync: writefd_unbuffered failed to write 9 bytes [sender]: Broken pipe (32)
