"Restart" shut-down sequence doesn't
Hard disc went to the Great Motherboard in the Sky this weekend so I had to install Fedora 10 (kernel 126.96.36.199-117) on a new IDE hard drive in my computer.
In the process of installing, I must have done something to the shut down sequence. Specifically, I go to the shut down process and if I select "Shut Down" the machine shuts down. Fine. If I select "Restart" however, it goes through the process of closing things down and at last says "Machine Restart." It never restarts, though, just stays there, and I have to physically power off the machine and power it back on, defeating the purpose of "Restart".
So what do I need to change in which files where to get the shut down process to allow restarts?
"Log out" and "switch User" are fine.
