repository problems in fedora 9
 

hello
i'm using fedora 9
having problems with ADD/REMOVE SOFTWARE
i'm not able to open sogtware packeges in there

the error returned is:


PROBLEM CONNECTING TO SOFTWARE SOURCE.
CANNOT RETRIEVE REPOSITORY METADATA(REPOMD.XML) FOR REPOSITORY:FEDORA.
PLEASE VERIFY IT'S PATH AND TRY AGAIN.


i'll b thankful to anyone who can help.

i'm dying to experience fedora completely.

Your system is not configured to access the Internet (or network).

That's exactly what it sounds like to me. raj_techie, open a shell and type "ping foo.com" without the quotes and see what happens.
Also make sure the network service is running "/sbin/service network start". You could also try "/sbin/ifconfig -a" and make sure you have an IP for your computer.
