repositories ffmpeg

I am looking to install ffmpeg and was not sure where to find it. I am running Fedora 7 and am new to Fedora but not to linux (Gentoo and Debian). I guess what I am asking is if there is some way to add repositories to install software beyond what comes standard with basic install.

I also wanted to know if there was a graphical equivalent for yum to something like Debian's Synaptic.

use livna.org and i think yumex is the equivalent. those UI's are always a sack of pants though.
