Smile remove the suspend password

hi Im running fedora 8 i86 gnome
after my fedora box has been idle for 15 min or so it goes in to a suspend mode witch is good I want to keep that I just dont want to put in my password to get out of it I know how to make it so I dont have to put in a password to boot the machine but that dont remove the suspend password and I want to keep that
I use a kvm switch and switch between different machines it would make life a lot simpler if I didnt have to keep putting in the password

Hi Cuda,

You didn't mention whether you are using kde or gnome. I'll assume gnome since it is the default. In either case the method to remove the password is similar. In Gnome, go to the "Desktop" drop down menu on the upper tool bar. Select the "Preferences" option and then the "Screensaver" sub menu item. That will open a graphical selection window. Near the bottom of that window you will find a "Lock screen when screen saver is active" check box. Unchecking that option should remove the password. With KDE, the process is similar but if memory serves, it has a specific checkbox for requiring the password.
