Recording audio through line-in doesn't work.
Hi everyone,
I'm trying to record audio in FC2 using the line-in, but until now I haven't had any success.
I've tried both gnome sound recorder and audacity but to no avail.
I've tried every mixer and alsa-mixer setting I could think off.
Audacity works when I import music from a local (ogg) file, I can play wav files with the gnome sound recorder.
The line-in does carry a signal, I can tell cause I can play files from my portable 8-track recorder on my stereo via my PC.
I'm on a PT8 Neo-LSR mobo which has a sound-card with the following specs:
(according to the msi website)
6 channels software audio codec Realtek ALC655
- Compliance with AC97 v2.2 Spec.
- Meet PC2001 audio performance requirement.
- Can support SPDIF-Out via rear RCA SPDIF Out connector.
I've googled on this but everything I found didn't work or was way above my head. (I've had no prior experience recording audio on a pc)
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
