Reboot in FC3 loses network settings, logout doesn't

Hi!
This is my first post to LinuxQuestions, so please be gentle
I just installed Fedora Core 3 (FC3) with an "everything" install and everything seems to work fine except I lose my network settings everytime I reboot! When I just logout, however, the settings remain. I have tried more than once checking the "save settings" feature on the exit menu, it didn't work. The problem doesn't seem to be specific to a desktop manager as I've tried it in xfce as well as Gnome. In fact, if I reset the settings in Gnome, logout, login to xfce then the settings are present in xfce. If I just reboot and open xfce or gnome, the settings are gone!

Specifically, the primary DNS is changed, the secondary DNS is gone and the DNS search path is gone. Help!

Thanks for the reply. I tried, the system-config-network in a terminal and it led me to the same place (before I used: System Settings --> Network from the main menu). Nonetheless, I tried the system-config-network approach both in GNOME and in KDE with no success. Reboot changes the network settings, logging out does not.

I'm starting to wonder if the problem is broader than I originally thought. For example, I'm also losing my settings in an application called "Jin" which is a client for attaching to chess servers. It seems obvious that some kind of startup script / config file isn't getting modified. But...I didn't have this problem with FC2 using identical hardware. The only other possibility I can think of is that it has either something to do with the "everything install" or with the SELinux aspect of FC3. Regardless, I intended to reinstall anyway as the "everything" install was mostly curiousness. However, if I can't solve the problem I will probably just revert back to FC2 since I'm reinstalling anyway. I might try disabling the SELinux feature first, just to see. I'll keep you posted
