When I throw DVD's into my Fedora 4 machine, I get an auto DVD icon on the desktop but when I double click the icon to browse the files, I can't find anything. It looks to be blank for some reason.
What do you have in the /mnt directory? One of those names will be your dvd player/recorder. You will then need to do "mount /mnt/xxxxx" where xxxxx is the name of your player/recorder.
Well since you didn't listen... That command just solves your problem temporarilly, after a reboot it won't be back to normal As I said, share your /etc/fstab so you can solve the problem automatically.
