processing java

Hi again,
I am using a program called Processing for learning Java in university. At the moment on my thinkpad I have to switch into the directory and then run ./processing to run the program.

An rpm file does not exist for the software nor does it exist in the Fedora repos, is there any way I can install this to the disk and run it from an icon like a normal program? The university has managed it with Debian somehow.

Thanks

Have you considered going to toe processing website: https://processing.org/download/?processing
downloading the Linux version for your CPU, and installing it yourself?

https://github.com/processing/processing/releases doesn't list any OS installer packages.

https://github.com/processing/proces...d-Instructions Also doesn't cover it. From my light browsing I'd say your University has done work to provide a DEB package.

Options? Using alien to convert DEB to RPM. Or writing your own RPM spec file.

Personally, I would just download their .tar.gz and unzip it and link it in my $PATH.
