Probling at starting aMule

Hi, I have managed to install FC5 with 2.8.16 kernel. I recently installed aMule (the most recent version). For a few hours after I installed there was no probleme at all only until I selected the box to start aMule with a skin (or something like that). After that, when I tried to launch the programme there was an error saying I had no skins available and that it was going to load the default one. aMule launched fine but after launching the application coudn't load the skin and the process was terminated.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled aMule but without any luck. Same things again and again. I also installed a previous version of aMule but with the same results.
I need aMule!!! Please help.

Sounds like removing the program still leaves (at least some of) it's configuration files at place, which are not overwritten during re-installation and cause the problem (that's because a newly installed program should not have that problem). I'm not familiar with rpm too much anymore, but see the man page of rpm to find out a way to purge ("remove completely", including all config files of a program) the program instead of just removing it. That is, if the two differ; at least apt, the Debian package manager, usually (if I'm right) removes a program leaving it's config files still around in case you later decide to reinstall the program and need them, and if you want to get rid of everything that the program installed, you'll need to purge it.

Just a guess.

Can you try running aMule from a terminal(console) and post the messages you get here? [just type 'amule' at prompt]
